Whisky is a unique and rare Agricultural Madeira rum that consists of a 6-year-old rum blended with one of the very last rums to be produced in the historic &#8220;Engenho do Hinton&#8221; which closed in 1985.<\/p><p class=\"p1\">No color or flavor has been added, the seductive aroma profiles and the balanced tasting notes result from a 6-month finish in a carefully selected 200L Whisky Cask from Scotland. The fermented sugar cane juice underwent a single distillation in a century-old column still and the subtropical climate of Madeira Island allowed for an exceptional maturation.<\/p><p class=\"p1\">Our 6-year-old rum, carefully aged in French oak barrels, has been blended with a 25-year-old rum, certainly one of the last rums to be produced at the old Hinton Mill facility, the latter was also subjected to a new aging process in our casks for another 3 years.<\/p><p class=\"p1\">Finally, the product that resulted from this unique combination of rums of different ages was admirably well integrated. The 6 years of aging in French oak barrels allowed a perfect integration of the alcohol and the obtained notes of dried fruits and spices, to which the balsamic and resinous aromas quickly arise.
